dev.christianfellowship.world

a people formed in Christ, equipped by the Spirit, and sent in obedience.

A non-denominational, non-traditional Christian fellowship rooted in the New Testamen

why we exist

In 1980, a vision was received that continues to guide the life and direction of this fellowship.

The unfolding of the vision:

  • A base established
Over five years, a strong spiritual and relational base was to be built.
  • Teams sent into South Africa
From this base, teams would be sent throughout South Africa for ministry and church planting.
  • Teams sent to the nations
From the same base, teams would be sent beyond South Africa into the rest of the world.

This vision shapes how we build, lead, train, and send — not as an organisation, but as a body.

We are committed to building a congregation marked by:

  • Strong and healthy relationships
  • Fellowship with other churches and believers
  • A non-denominational identity
  • A non-traditional expression of church
  • Active involvement in community upliftment
  • A balanced emphasis on evangelism
  • The priesthood of all believers, where every believer carries responsibility before God

This is not a spectator community, but a shared life.

Christian Fellowship is led through shared leadership, under the authority of Christ.

Our approach to leadership is shaped by these convictions:

  • Leadership is theocratic, not democratic or autocratic
  • Leaders walk in submission to authority
  • Leadership is exercised by example
  • We seek to fulfil the five-fold ministry described in Ephesians 4:11

Leadership exists to equip the saints, not to replace them.

The fellowship is supported by a physical base that serves the work of the ministry:

  • An auditorium for large gatherings
  • Offices and administration
  • A training centre for both local and correspondence-based training

The base exists to support the sending, not to become the destination.

We exist to:

  1. Evangelise
  2. Equip new believers
  3. Train teams for local and trans-local ministry
  4. Send teams for apostolic church planting
  5. Support those sent, both financially and prayerfully

Everything we do is measured against this calling.

We are committed to building a congregation marked by:

  • Strong and healthy relationships
  • Fellowship with other churches and believers
  • A non-denominational identity
  • A non-traditional expression of church
  • Active involvement in community upliftment
  • A balanced emphasis on evangelism
  • The priesthood of all believers, where every believer carries responsibility before God

This is not a spectator community, but a shared life.

Our beliefs are guided by the New Testament and expressed through lived obedience.
