we are committed to life in Christ, fellowship in the Spirit and Praise and Glory to God
About Christian Fellowship
Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational, non-traditional Christian congregation shaped by the New Testament and committed to life in Christ, fellowship in the Spirit, and obedience to God’s calling.
We exist as a community of believers who seek to live faithfully before God, to walk together in love and accountability, and to be equipped for service both locally and beyond.
Christian Fellowship is not centred on personalities, programmes, or platforms, but on Christ, His Word, and the work of the Holy Spirit among His people.
our origin and calling
In 1980, a vision was received that continues to guide the life and direction of Christian Fellowship.
This vision was not organisational in nature, but spiritual and missional — concerned with building people, forming teams, and sending them in obedience to God’s purposes.
The vision unfolded in three stages:
- To build a strong base over five years, establishing spiritual depth, relational health, and shared responsibility.
- To send out teams into South Africa from this base, serving local communities and planting churches.
- To send out teams into the rest of the world, extending the same calling trans-locally and internationally.
Everything we do — how we gather, lead, train, and send — is measured against this vision.
Values that shape us
the life we are building together
Christian Fellowship is committed to forming a congregation marked by maturity, love, and shared responsibility.
We intentionally seek to build:
- Strong and healthy relationships among members
- Fellowship with other churches and believers, recognising the wider body of Christ
- A non-denominational identity, centred on Christ rather than institutional alignment
- A non-traditional expression of church, focused on life, not form
- Active involvement in community upliftment
- A balanced emphasis on evangelism
- The priesthood of all believers, where every member carries responsibility before God
We understand church not as an event to attend, but as a life to be shared.
our approach to leadership
Leadership within Christian Fellowship is exercised through a shared leadership structure, under the authority of Christ.
We do not operate through popular vote or personal control, but seek to live under God’s direction and order.
Our leadership convictions include:
- Leadership that is theocratic, acknowledging God’s authority above all
- Submission to authority, both to God and within the body
- Leadership that leads by example, not position
- A commitment to the five-fold ministry described in Ephesians 4:11, for the equipping of the saints
Leadership exists to serve, equip, and release believers into their God-given calling.
(Ephesians 4:11–13)
our base
Christian Fellowship is supported by a physical base that exists to serve the work of the ministry.
This includes:
- An auditorium for large gatherings
- Offices and administration
- A training centre for both local and correspondence-based training
The base is not an end in itself, but a means of supporting the calling to equip and send.
our function and purpose
Christian Fellowship exists to:
- Evangelise, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ
- Equip new believers, grounding them in faith and obedience
- Train teams for local and trans-local ministry
- Send out teams for apostolic church planting
- Support those sent, both financially and prayerfully
This calling shapes how we organise our time, resources, and relationships.
