Impact Direct Ministries

Overview

Impact Direct Ministries (IDM) is a non-profit, community-based organisation established in 2001, with its main operational base in Cape Town, South Africa. IDM serves vulnerable individuals and communities through practical care, social development, education, and spiritual support.

Rooted in Christian compassion and community partnership, IDM works closely with a wide range of institutions, including the South African Police Service, Metro Police, Social Development Services, Athlone Youth and Family Development Centre, Local Athlone Drug Action Committee, SANCA, Rape Crisis, Bridgetown Civic Association, schools across Cape Town, and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).


Areas of Work

Impact Direct Ministries delivers holistic, long-term support across multiple areas, including:

  • Feeding programmes for vulnerable communities
  • Support and counselling for learners at risk in primary and secondary schools
  • Parent support programmes for families of children with learning disabilities
  • Computer training initiatives, linking international professionals with disadvantaged communities
  • Care for orphans and vulnerable children, including support for caregivers
  • Street outreach, providing care and support for children and adults
  • Community development programmes in informal settlements
  • 24-hour walk-in centre offering counselling, family support, meals, school outreach, youth development, and community services
  • After-care programmes for primary school children from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Senior wellness programmes, offering care, health support, and dignity for the elderly
  • Spiritual and Moral Awakening programmes, including drug awareness and prevention
  • Youth development initiatives
  • Drug advice and support, including digital platforms
  • Online counselling services
  • Training and development programmes

Impact Direct Ministries represents faith at work — the gospel expressed through sustained service, partnership, and presence within local communities. As a project associated with Christian Fellowship, IDM reflects the shared conviction that good works flow from grace and that unity in Christ is made visible through love in action.
